Bobby Fischer at Oklahoma Open Tourney
Bobby Fischer, 13 who is the new U.S. Junior champion, is the center of attraction for the spectators. The brilliant Brooklyn youngster has been on two television programs and been featured in the local press. Bobby chews gum continuously, is a Dodger fan, likes Elvis Presley, and seems completely unaffected by all the publicity he is getting.
Bobby was paired in the first round with A. M. Swank of Oklahoma City, who is 78 and boasts a long, flowing beard. Swank proved no match for the junior champion, who has not lost a game. His score was 4½-2½.

This ongoing work is a tribute to the life and accomplishments of Robert “Bobby” Fischer who passionately loved and studied chess history. May his life continue to inspire many other future generations of chess enthusiasts and kibitzers, alike.
